An assessment of your first aid needs should identify what first aid equipment should be provided in your workplace.  It is a minimum requirement that your first aid box is suitably stocked. 

Your assessment may indicate that additional equipment and materials are needed to ensure workplace safety, which may include items such as scissors, disposable aprons and moist wipes. 

Your first aid box should include items which are relevant for your workplace as identified in the assessment.  You should review your first aid box regularly and check the expiry dates of all items.  If an item does not have an expiry date, it is advised that you contact the manufacturer directly to ask how long the recommend you keep the product.  Judgement should be used on non-sterile items without expiry dates.
