Accident crushes two men at construction site
September 3, 2008

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) officers are investigating the site of an accident where two men were crushed, a source says.
The incident occurred after a steel beam fell on the men at a demolition site, Press and Journal reports.
A HSE spokesperson states the men were dismantling a building when "a piece of steel fell and struck them", leaving them injured.
Both worked for John A Jack Contracts, a local building firm, which has refused to comment on the accident.
A police spokesperson tells the news provider one of the men is being kept in hospital while the other has been discharged.
John A Jack Contracts is being employed to redevelop the location of the accident and plans to construct 51 flats at the site.
The HSE has begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
It says construction is the country's biggest industry and the most dangerous.
More than 2,800 people in the sector have died in workplace accidents in the last 25 years, it claims.
