Cardiff supplier to offer health and safety advice
September 25, 2008

Health and safety advice for the construction sector is to be distributed at a materials supplier in Cardiff as part of the Working Well Together campaign.
A stand will be run at Jewson by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for the remainder of the week.
Chantal Nicholls, the organisation's principal inspector for construction in Wales, claims the consequences of health and safety breaches have a knock-on effect for businesses.
"These informal sessions offer a chance to discuss concerns with the HSE and get practical advice from those working in the industry too," she says.
A spokesperson for Jewson Steve Went says the firm is fully backing the campaign and suggests by offering the information where builders buy their supplies they will reach a larger audience.
Calling for companies to work together to help reduce the number of accidents occurring in the industry, he describes the business as "delighted" to be involved.
An event was held recently at Carlisle United Football Club as part of the Working Well Together campaign to raise awareness of good health and safety practise in the construction sector.
