Website enhancements 'help sharing of safety information'
August 12, 2008

Stephen Ratcliffe, chief executive of the Construction Confederation, told the Institution of Structural Engineers the forum's health and safety best practice section will allow firms to share experiences and work towards improving workplace safety standards.
The group's new segment will draw together information from different organisations and keep it one place. The knowledge will be split into three parts: practical advice, the regulatory environment and lessons to be learnt from "near hits", the institution claims.
Mr Ratcliffe told the news provider the system could be beneficial to companies.
"I believe this is a great way for the industry to accelerate progress and work in partnership to draw together the very best of health and safety practice across our industry," he said.
The Construction Confederation claims to be the leading representative body for contractors, representing over 5,000 companies.
