HSE investigates coal death
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has visited the scene of an accident in Cornwall which resulted in a local man's death.

A&P Falmouth, which operates the dock where the incident took place, states it is working alongside the authorities looking into the fatality.

One of the lorry drivers labouring at the site died after being struck on the head and buried while unloading coal from a ship.

He was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital after being dug out from the heap but later died of his injuries.

Peter Child, the managing director of A&P, comments that the company's thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased.

"We are working alongside the relevant authorities to assist them with their investigations so that we can better understand what has happened," he states.
