Road safety seminars for companies praised by minister
June 4, 2008

Mr Stevenson said the Work-Related Road Safety workshops, hosted by the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, will help bosses manage the occupational risks their staff face.
Around 100 people a year die on Scotland's roads while carrying out their work, which is three times higher than the number of people killed in the workplace.
"Companies have a major role to play in the health and safety of their employees, no matter what tasks they undertake. I welcome these seminars and hope that as many companies as possible attend," Mr Stevenson said.
The Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives offers training programmes to help employers and employees address workplace stress and issues of mental health in the workplace.
