RoSPA backs small business report
August 7, 2008

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has welcomed a new report by the Better Regulation Executive highlighting how health and safety regulation affects small businesses.
Roger Bibbings, occupational safety adviser at the society, claims the report shows the need for little enterprises to reduce the amount of bureaucracy they are faced with in order for health and safety management to improve.
"It highlights the need to cut unnecessary form filling and to combat myths which give health and safety a bad name, while concentrating on practical management to ensure healthy and safe working," he said.
According to the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, small firms could save more than £300 million a year with better advice and support concerning health and safety.
RoSPA is a registered charity established over 90 years ago and claims to provide information, advice, resources and training.
