Health and safety seminar dates announced

Two new health and safety-related seminars are to be held in the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, it has emerged.
According to reports by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the organisation that enforces the work of the Health and Safety Commission, the two health and safety seminars are to be held on the topic of workplace transportation, with the aim of reducing accident levels.
The seminars will take place on December 5th and December 13th between the hours of 09:30 and 13:00 GMT.
In addition to the work of the HSE, the events will be held with the participation of local authorities and the Coventry and Warwickshire Safety Group.
"The Coventry and Warwickshire Safety Group is a monthly forum of local companies and individuals who share best practice in health and safety terms," said Sarah Wilson, an awareness officer with the HSE.
"Some of the subjects covered at the event include working at height, manual handling, slips and trips as these are some of the most frequently occurring incidents," she added.
