HSE website launches Wales section
November 12, 2008

A leading organisation has added an area on its website which specifically targets the issues affecting Welsh businesses.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched the section, which focuses on the industries most prevalent in the area.
Its director for Wales Terry Rose claims these features have been added in response to public demand and will be in addition to its existing provision of Welsh-language materials.
"The site will allow us to better target online advice and guidance on those parts of the HSE's national strategy that are of particular importance to Wales," he states.
Working closely with the Welsh Assembly Government, he suggests the organisation decided to adopt a different approach to providing relevant public information online.
The initiative has also been launched with the support of local authorities and partners which already promote good workplace practice.
Earlier in the year, the Slough Observer reported the region's borough council had begun to supply health and safety information in Polish in an effort to decrease accident rates among migrant workers.
