HSE holds consultation on its strategy

HSE holds consultation on its strategy
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is holding a meeting in Bristol which will help determine the organisation's future direction.

Among the attendees will be delegates from third-sector organisations, industries and manufacturers, interest groups and trade bodies.

Its strategy, which will be entitled The Health and Safety of Great Britain - Be Part of the Solution, aims to increase the UK's slowing rate of improvement in this area.

Terry Rose, the HSE's south-west regional director and the event's host, claims he is "delighted" in the level of stakeholder engagement the consultation has received.

"I look forward to listening to their views on how they can be part of the solution and would urge all those who could not attend the event to respond to our consultation," he states.

Nattasha Freeman, the president of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, recently warned firms that ignore health and safety this will make it "tough to survive" through 2009.ADNFCR-1336-ID-18963196-ADNFCR
