Working at height injury to be investigated
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is investigating the death of an employee who was working at height, a source reveals.

He died at an industrial unit on Southfield Industrial Estate in Glenrothes yesterday, the Scottish Courier reports.

Tullis Russell, who owns the warehouse, issued a statement sending its condolences to the employee's family.

It confirms the accident resulted in a fatality and that the HSE will be launching an enquiry into the events leading up to the incident.

According to the news provider, he fell nearly 100 feet from the roof of the warehouse while cleaning.

Tullis Russell's statement reads: "Safety of all staff working on this site is always of paramount importance and an immediate inquiry has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the accident."

Last month, J Guest was fined £4,000 after a worker fell from an unprotected edge and broke his pelvis, wrist and ankle.

The firm also paid almost £2,000 in costs.ADNFCR-1336-ID-18805776-ADNFCR
