In order for websites to have the functionality which we as consumers have to come to expect they rely on the use of cookies. This has been common practice for years and most websites, such as Safety Media's website have been quite open about what they are and what we do with them.

The law now states that we have to go one step further and gain your explicit agreement for us to use cookies every time you use the website. The suggested way in which we should do this is provide a pop-up box asking if this is OK. How many of us have pop-ups blocked, hate pop-ups and generally view them through suspicious eyes?
